Water washing is the process of removing clayey materials in quartz sand. It is usually set before crushing, gravity separation, magnetic separation and flotation operations to eliminate the impact and harm of slime on these operations, so as to improve the operation efficiency and obtain good separation indicators. The commonly used quartz sand washing equipment can be divided into spiral ore washing machine and cylinder ore washing machine.
Spiral ore washing machine: there are two types of single spiral sand washing
machine and double spiral sand washing machine. The main difference from the
other two types is that the equipment is a spiral device system, which is used
to stir quartz sand through the spiral device to achieve the effect of cleaning
and screening. The equipment is practical and flexible. The weir plate can be
debugged. It is high energy and durable.
Cylinder ore washing machine: it can
be divided into cylinder type and screening strip type. The screening strip type
can divide the washed material into+40mm and - 40mm products, and - 40mm can be
further scrubbed by the double spiral groove type ore washing machine. The
material can be divided into+2mm and - 2mm products, and the ore washing
efficiency can reach about 98%.
Scrubbing is to use the rotation of the impeller to drive the pulp to rotate under high slurry concentration, so as to make the sand particles collide and rub with each other, thus achieving the purpose of removing the cement on the surface of quartz particles. Common scrubbing equipment includes high-efficiency stirring scrubber and spiral groove scrubber.
High-efficiency stirring scrubbing machine: It uses the motor to force the
rubber impeller to rotate, and to scrub the material forcefully. It can
effectively scrub and purify the particles, disperse, separate and separate the
muddy materials, and remove the solvent and soil adhering to the surface of
minerals or materials. This scrubbing machine is mainly applicable to quartz
sand with mineral particle size of 0-6 mm or various loose mud to form
minerals.
Spiral groove scrubber: the motor drives the two spiral shafts to
rotate relative through the reducer and the big and small gears to realize the
scrubbing operation. The mud on the surface of quartz sand and the ore particles
adhered to the surface of the ore mud are rubbed and scrubbed with the help of
the blades, and the appropriate amount of high-pressure water is fed from the
upper end of the tank for washing, so that the ore mud can be broken and
separated from the ore particles, thus achieving the purpose of ore washing. The
spiral groove scrubber has a good ore washing effect for quartz sand with a
certain proportion of mud content, especially for the clay mass with large
viscosity.
