The Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is a new, energy-saving ball mill designed for the characteristics of lead-zinc ore, such as high density, low hardness, and good expansibility. Due to the typically complex composition of lead-zinc ore with numerous associated minerals, special attention is required during the grinding process to achieve the desired fineness. Usually, grinding to -200 mesh accounts for 60% to 80% to effectively separate gangue minerals from lead and zinc. The Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill effectively addresses this requirement, providing controllable discharge granularity. The outlet can be adjusted according to needs, producing qualified products with ideal particle size.
The Lead-Zinc Ore Dressing Ball Mill adopts a horizontal cylindrical rotating device with external gear transmission and two chambers. After the original lead-zinc ore is coarse and finely crushed by a jaw crusher, and the particle size reaches a reasonable range, the ore is sent to the first chamber of the ball mill by an elevator.
At this point, the cylinder starts to rotate under the action of the motor, performing the first coarse grinding operation. The principle is to use centrifugal force and the impact force of steel balls to grind the lead-zinc ore. After coarse grinding, the material is sent to the second chamber for fine grinding. After the dual impact of coarse and fine grinding, the lead-zinc ore completes the grinding operation and is discharged through the discharge grate.

The main bearing of this Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill uses large-diameter double-row self-aligning stick bearings, making it easier to start, reducing friction, and saving energy.
1.The choice of feeders includes combined feeders and drum feeders, offering convenient installation and a simple structure.
2.Based on the original grid-type ball mill, the feed inlet diameter is increased, resulting in a larger processing capacity.
3.The discharge outlet can be adjusted according to the required particle size, achieving higher grinding efficiency and more uniform particle size.
4.The electrical system adopts international advanced technology, ensuring low energy consumption per unit output and stronger power.
5.It uses internal circulation grinding to reduce dust and noise pollution, improving the surrounding ecological environment.
The Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is composed of more than 20 components, including feeders, sealing covers, bearings, feed end covers, grid plates (wet overflow ball mills without grid plates), discharge end covers, press covers, discharge outlets, large gears, guide vanes, cylinders, end liners, feed inlets, bearing caps, bearing seats, small gears, reducers, electric motors, and more.
1.Feeder
Depending on the size of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill and the matching classification equipment, options include drum feeders, combined feeders, and feed carts. For single-spiral classifiers or hydraulic cyclones, drum feeders are chosen. For double-spiral classifiers, combined feeders are chosen. Feed carts are used for ball mills with a diameter ≥3.2 meters.
2.Feed Inlet
The feed end cover of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is made of ZG310-570 cast steel, processed as a whole. The end liner of the feed end is made of ZGMn13 cast protection end cover, and the feed inlet is made of wear-resistant cast iron. Bolts are sealed with polyurethane sealing gaskets, solving the slurry leakage problem.
3.Cylinder
The cylinder of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill adopts advanced submerged arc automatic welding technology, welded from thick steel plates, making it sturdy, wear-resistant, aesthetically pleasing, practical, and not easily deformed. The end flange is connected to the cast steel feed (discharge) end cover.
4.Bearing
The bearings of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill are recognized in China and are double-row t-adjustable spherical roller bearings produced in Wafangdian, Liaoning. These bearings are flexible with low friction. With the drive of these bearings, the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is easier to start and more energy-efficient.
5.Discharge End
The discharge end of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is equipped with a grid-type discharge plate, playing a role in forced ore discharge. As the hardness of lead-zinc ore itself is not high and it is easy to grind, the grid plate can effectively avoid over-grinding and promptly discharge qualified products from the cylinder to avoid waste of electrical resources.
6.Transmission System
The transmission system of the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill is determined according to the power of the ball mill. For ball mills below 400kW, asynchronous motors are configured, while for ball mills above 400kW, synchronous motors are suitable.
After the Lead-Zinc Ore Ball Mill has been running for three months, the equipment should be inspected because, at this time, some of the steel balls in the cylinder may have been ground very small, some may have been crushed, and some may have broken into several pieces. These worn-out balls need to be discarded, and new steel balls should be replenished to ensure that the productivity of the ball mill does not decrease. Additionally, during maintenance, follow these procedures:
Adhere to the "four fixed" principles of safe work, namely, fixed items, fixed personnel, fixed time, and fixed measures.
Do not use untreated waste oil and ensure the cleanliness of lubrication points.
Ensure that the bearing temperature remains below 60 degrees during operation.
Check if bolts in various components are loose and if there are abnormal sounds.
Check whether ore feeding and water supply are uniform.
For electrical aspects, check whether motor current and voltage are normal.
Check whether all components are intact, whether there is slurry leakage in the cylinder, and solve problems immediately when found.
