Magnetite Ore Magnetic Separation Project Case

2023-12-27 XinHai Views (438)

I. Project Overview

The original ore mainly contains two types of iron minerals: magnetite and hematite. The coarse and fine distribution of iron minerals is uneven, accompanied by gangue minerals such as quartz. After a comprehensive analysis of the ore properties, Xin Hai Corporation decided to adopt a phased grinding and a gravity-magnetic-reverse flotation process to achieve efficient processing of the original ore.

II. Process Flow

Through one-stage grinding, the process can obtain about 60% of coarse-grained concentrate and tailings.

Through a simple gravity separation process, it can promptly separate qualified coarse-grained concentrate, eliminating coarse-grained tailings.

For the fine-grained part, strong magnetic-reverse flotation is used for tailings removal.

Project Results: This economically reasonable and technologically advanced process, after careful design and adjustment, ultimately achieved excellent indicators of 23.15% entry grade, 65.95% concentrate grade, and 10.05% tailings grade, significantly improving the level of ore dressing technology.

III. Equipment and Reagent Application

In this project, advanced ore dressing equipment and efficient ore dressing reagents played a crucial role. Advanced equipment ensured the efficient and stable operation of the process, while efficient reagents increased ore recovery rates and reduced environmental impact. The successful application of these advanced technologies significantly elevated the technological level of magnetite ore dressing, receiving high praise from the collaborating partners.

The equipment used in this project mainly includes:

Crusher: Jaw crusher and circular vibrating screen work together to complete the preliminary crushing and screening.

Ball mill: Grid-type ball mill is used for the first-stage grinding, and overflow-type ball mill is used for the second-stage grinding. They work in conjunction with a classifier to complete the grinding and classification process.

Magnetic separator: Permanent magnetic drum-type magnetic separator is used for magnetic separation of magnetite.

Flotation machine: Reverse flotation uses an XCF-KYF flotation machine unit, with XCF as the suction tank and KYF as the direct current tank, to complete the flotation operation.

Thickener: High-efficiency thickener is responsible for the dehydration operation after sorting.

IV. Economic Benefits and Social Impact

The ultimate success of the project signifies a significant improvement in ore dressing technology indicators, creating considerable economic benefits for the mining company. The thriving development of the company has attracted the attention of numerous mine developers, actively seeking collaboration with Xin Hai. Upholding the customer-centric principle, Xin Hai Corporation is committed to providing excellent engineering projects for every client, striving to facilitate rapid and superior development for each client on Xin Hai's technological platform.

Through the successful implementation of this magnetite ore magnetic separation project, Xin Hai Corporation has demonstrated its outstanding capabilities in the field of mining engineering, setting a benchmark for the sustainable development of China's mining industry. This case is not only a crystallization of technology and innovation but also a vivid illustration of environmentally friendly, economically beneficial, and socially impactful outcomes.
