The role of the thickener is to settle the solid particles in the pulp through the principle of gravity, and the upper part is clarified water, so as to achieve solid-liquid separation. Thickeners are used in many links of gold ore dressing process, and different concentrators are used in different gold ore dressing processes. This paper introduces the application of thickener in gold ore dressing process, and recommends a gold ore thickener model with a daily processing capacity of 150 tons.
The common beneficiation processes of gold ores include all slime cyanidation, zinc powder replacement and flotation. Thickeners are used for all three gold separation methods. In the all slime cyanidation method, the gold concentrator is used for thickening and dewatering after the crushing and grinding stage and before entering the cyanide leaching tank of the university.
In the zinc powder replacement method, after grinding and classification, the gold concentrate enters the single-layer thickener, and the underflow is sent to the high-efficiency leaching tank through the slurry pump. After that, it will enter the three-layer washing thickener for concentration and washing. The selected gold concentrate will be replaced by the zinc powder replacement device to improve the gold grade.
In the gold flotation plant, the gold concentrator is mainly used in the concentrate dewatering stage after flotation. The gold concentrate after flotation is first sent to the thickener by slurry pump, and then the underflow enters the vacuum filter, so as to improve the grade of gold concentrate.
