What is the working process of the central transmission thickener?

The central transmission thickener is a solid-liquid separation equipment commonly used in industries such as mining, metallurgy, and chemical engineering. It is used to separate solid particles suspended in the liquid from the liquid and form a concentrated solid slurry.

The working process usually includes the following steps:

Feed: The raw material containing solid particles is fed into the thickener through the feed pipeline. Usually, the material is mixed with water added with a mixture through a spray system to form a slurry.

Mixing: The mixture is mixed with the material in the feed pipeline to evenly disperse the solid particles in the material and accelerate the settling speed of the solid particles.

Settlement: The mixed material enters the settlement area of the thickener through the feed pipeline. In the settling area, due to the action of gravity, solid particles begin to settle downwards, forming a concentrated bed.

Clear water injection: Clear water is injected into the concentration bed through the water injection device, forming an upward flow of water. This helps to push the concentrated solid slurry from the concentration bed towards the central area.

Stirring: Thickeners are usually equipped with a stirring device to stir the concentration bed in the central area, keeping the bed layer uniform and preventing the formation of solid slurry lumps.

Overflow: In the central area of the thickener, the solid slurry will continuously rise and gradually dehydrate, forming concentrated solid particles, while clean water will overflow from the central area, taking away less solid particles.

Discharge of concentrated materials: The concentrated solid particles gradually gather in the central area and are discharged through the bottom discharge port.

Discharge of overflow liquid: The overflow liquid is discharged from the thickener through the overflow port, usually after subsequent treatment or treatment.

The above is the working process of a general central transmission thickener. There may be some differences between different models and brands of thickeners, and the specific working process also needs to refer to the equipment operation manual and actual production situation.
